Child Safety Standards

1. Zero-Tolerance Policy on CSAE & CSAM

At Solace (operated by Solace Space), maintaining a safe, protected environment is our highest imperative. We maintain an absolute zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE) in any form.

Mandatory Policy Notice: Solace strictly prohibits the generation, uploading, sharing, transmission, solicitation, or storage of imagery, text, audio, or media that depicts or encourages the sexual abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of children.

2. Prohibited Conduct & Standards

To safeguard all users, the following activities are strictly prohibited across the Solace application and community:

  • Creation, distribution, or solicitation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE).
  • Child grooming, sexualized communication targeting minors, or attempting to lure minors into unsafe situations.
  • Sharing explicit or suggestive content involving individuals under the age of 18.
  • Facilitating or promoting human trafficking, child exploitation, or child harm.

3. In-App & Online Reporting Mechanisms

Solace provides intuitive, immediate reporting channels for any user who encounters suspicious, inappropriate, or illegal content or behavior:

  • In-App Flagging: Users can tap the Report / Flag icon on any message, profile, or session within the Solace mobile application to submit an immediate alert to our safety team.
  • Direct Escalation Email: Reports can be sent directly to our Safety Officer at hello@solacespace.app.
  • Contact Form: Concerns can also be reported via our web contact page at solacespace.app/contact.

All reports flagged under child safety receive top priority and are reviewed urgently by our safety response team.

4. Moderation & Enforcement Procedures

Solace employs multi-layered mechanisms to prevent, detect, and respond to child safety threats:

  • Automated Screening: Real-time text and media filters monitor incoming interactions for safety violations.
  • Immediate Content Removal: Any flagged content suspected of involving CSAE or CSAM is removed instantly upon identification.
  • Account & Device Banning: Accounts found engaging in CSAE or CSAM violations are permanently terminated immediately, with hardware device IDs and IP ranges blocked from future access.
  • Evidence Preservation: Relevant log data and identifiers are secured in accordance with legal preservation requirements to assist law enforcement investigations.

5. Mandatory Legal Reporting to NCMEC & Authorities

In compliance with federal laws (including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A) and international child safety standards, Solace fulfills mandatory reporting duties:

When CSAM or explicit CSAE threats are identified on our platform, Solace promptly files official reports to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and collaborates fully with local and federal law enforcement agencies in their investigations.

6. Designated Child Safety Point of Contact

Solace has appointed a designated Child Safety Officer empowered to manage enforcement procedures, liaise with law enforcement, and handle safety inquiries.
