Terms of Service

1. Nature of Our Services

Solace is a platform for meaningful conversation, empathy, and active human presence. Our Guides are trained companions who listen with intent, compassion, and respect.

Important Notice: Solace is NOT therapy, clinical psychology, medical treatment, or professional psychiatric counseling. Our services are not a replacement for clinical diagnosis, intervention, or medication. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a dedicated helpline immediately.

2. Guide Code of Conduct

Every Solace Guide agrees to our strict ethical guidelines:

  • Providing complete presence and active listening.
  • Maintaining absolute session confidentiality.
  • Interacting with empathy and avoiding moral judgement or advice-giving.
  • Respecting professional boundaries at all times.

3. Member Code of Conduct

To maintain a safe, respectful sanctuary, all members agree to:

  • Treat Guides with respect, dignity, and care.
  • Refrain from abusive, harassing, threatening, or sexually explicit behavior.
  • Acknowledge and respect the personal and professional boundaries of Guides.

Solace reserves the right to immediately terminate the account of any member who violates these conduct terms, without refund.

4. Bookings, Cancellations & Rescheduling

Sessions are scheduled in advance based on availability. To respect our Guides' time:

  • Cancellations: Bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the session for a full refund or credit.
  • Rescheduling: Sessions can be rescheduled up to 12 hours prior to the session start time.
  • Late Arrivals: If you are late, your session will still conclude at the originally scheduled time.

5. Limitation of Liability

Solace, its founders, and its Guides are not responsible for any decision made, action taken, or consequence arising from a conversation during a session. Sessions are educational and peer-focused, and all actions taken by users in their own lives remain their sole responsibility.

6. Modifications to Service

Solace reserves the right to update these terms or modify our offerings at any time. Your continued use of the platform constitutes agreement to the updated Terms of Service.
